Your candle will thank you for it

And Yes, your candle has a care process.

When you buy a candle, you don’t just buy some wax in a jar. You buy a little moment, a smell that hugs your room, and a flame that makes the place cozy. But, just like plants need water and pets need food, candles also need some love.
And yes, your candle has a care process.

Trim the Wick, Always

Before you light your candle, give the wick a small haircut. Not too short, not too long. Around 1/4 inch (that’s like a pinky nail). If you don’t trim, your flame will get too big, the jar gets smoky, and your candle life gets shorter.

First Burn is Important

The first time you light your candle, don’t blow it out too fast. Let it burn long enough so the melted wax touches all the edges. Why? Because wax has memory (yes, like us humans!). If you don’t let it melt all the way, next time it will only burn in the middle and make a hole — like a little tunnel.

No Marathon Burns

Even if you love the smell, don’t let your candle burn forever. Four hours is enough. After that, the jar gets too hot, and the scent gets tired. Blow it out, let it rest, and light it again later.

Keep it Clean

If you see little black bits in your wax (wick crumbs), just take them out. A clean candle looks nicer and smells better.

Safety First, Always

Never leave a burning candle alone. Sounds obvious, but many people forget. Also, don’t put it near curtains, paper, or anything that can start a fire.

Candle care is not complicated, but it makes a big difference. With just a few small steps, your candle will burn longer, smell stronger, and make you smile every time you light it.

So next time you take your lighter, remember: a happy candle is a cared candle.
